“What is assessed and reported shows what is really valued” (Hanscamp et al., 2019, p. 94). Lifelong learning goals are clearly identified on the assignment, with the opportunity to demonstrate learning against these goals.

- Choose one of these and make up a one-paragraph story that uses positive and negative numbers. The story must include a situation that goes below zero.

- Write an equation that uses numbers to describe what happened.
- Write a short reflection: How does understanding negative numbers help you appreciate God’s world?
“For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods.
In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him.
The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.
Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.“
Psalm 95:3-6
