The teacher outline shows teachers how to frame this unit of work from a biblical perspective using “The Big Picture” concepts outlined in the book Transformation by Design. There are big ideas, curriculum ties, and key activities that help students understand the purpose of their learning.
These framing activities will help you with the language to use throughout the unit and help you authentically answer the question, “Why are we doing this topic of work?”

In God’s world, many things are consistent. We build expectations around those consistencies!
For instance, the sun rises every day (even when we don’t see it); babies take about 40 weeks to be born; we know that spring is the best time to plant tomatoes; and in northern Australia, antidotally, when we see dragonflies, we know it is the beginning of the dry season.
Humans value order and consistency. For example, why do you usually sit in the same place for lunch?
Mathematics (algebra, functions, and graphs) are useful tools to model relationships in God’s creation. This allows us to understand, care for, and steward God’s creation in the way He intended.
“As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease“
