Statistics are an important tool for us to analyse and respond to the needs of our communities (local, national, and international). However, we need God’s wisdom to evaluate what is truth and what is not!
Humans have distorted the truth. There are no absolutes, truth is relative and becomes ‘my truth’. The ability to know the truth through human endeavour will always fall short.
Absolute truth is knowable in the person of Jesus. With God’s help we can expose the truth when it has been distorted by others.
“You are a king, then!” said Pilate.
John 18:37-38a
Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”
“What is truth?” retorted Pilate.
