- God set beautiful geometric patterns and laws into the design of His creation—even the seemingly random nature of some of the designs, such as fractals (e.g., trees, mountains, lightning). Such designs can point us to infinity.
- Humans can discover and delight in these patterns. Made in God’s image, they, in turn, can create beautiful designs that reflect God’s beauty to bless others.
- Refer students back to this throughout the unit to show them where their learning fits into the big picture of the unit.
Geometric patterns in nature
Fractals: These designs were not created by chance or by evolution, nor should they be worshiped. Rather, Jesus came to redeem humankind, and He opened our eyes to know God the creator.
